In a letter to Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi expressed his satisfaction with the successful convening of the two countries’ Joint Commission and the specialized exhibition of Iranian products, Iran Project, held in Ashgabat.
In his letter, Raisi stated that the signing of the relevant protocol and a number of other documents on bilateral cooperation following the meeting of the intergovernmental commission reflects the commitment of the two countries’ leaders to building relations in all fields.
He also noted with satisfaction that over the past two years, bilateral economic relations have followed an encouraging path of development — a trend closely tied to the efforts of the relevant institutions in both countries to expand cooperation across the board.
The specialized Iran Project exhibition opened on 17 November at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
The event showcases the products of major Iranian companies — around 100 in all — operating in construction (building materials, plumbing, electrical equipment, and lighting) and engineering services (oil and gas production, petrochemicals, and power).
On 18 November, a number of business events were also held, aimed at helping Iranian and Turkmen companies establish contacts, hold negotiations, and exchange information.
Notably, the 17th meeting of the Iran–Turkmenistan Joint Economic Commission was held concurrently with the specialized exhibition, attended by Iran’s Minister of Roads and Urban Development.

Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi also sent a letter to his Turkmen counterpart, expressing satisfaction with the successful holding of the 17th meeting of the Iran–Turkmenistan Joint Economic Commission and the specialized Iran Project exhibition.
